Common courtesy á la John McCain

Here's a lesson in common courtesy for the kids á la John McCain:
Let's say you have a playdate scheduled, but an hour before the date another friend invites you over and the second invitation sounds way better.

Do you...
a) lie your way out of the first date so you can go to the second way better date - and then hope that you don't get caught
or
b) honor your commitment to the first friend

Guess which one John McCain chose last night? He canceled on Letterman at the last minute so he could race to DC and save the economy (at least that's what McC, himself, told Dave on the phone), but he actually went on Katie Couric instead.
